TRINITY
SUNDAY IS MAY 18 The blossoms on the trees and the blooming flowers offer the joyous sights and sweet smells of springtime. As Trinity Sunday approaches (May 18), this scene reminds us of how blessed we are. It also reminds us that the careful, loving nurturing of the seeds we plant result in the growth of our vision. Much like the gardens that we envision planting in our backyards in the next few weeks, Trinity’s Parish and Vestry has been planning its own “garden” with an eye to the future. Before Trinity could decide on the size of the “garden plot,” we held cottage meetings to decide which seeds we would plant. During those cottage meetings, it was determined that a Family Minister was needed. Now that we have made the commitment by hiring Bradley Pace, the short-term nurturing of the plan becomes imperative. As we add another clergy position, we have an immediate need to address the cost of housing and setting up an endowment for the future. To address the cost of clergy housing, the Vestry is designating our special Trinity Sunday, May 18 offering toward this effort. We have been working with the Vestry and Treasurer to put together a long-term plan to address how to fulfill this obligation. Dedicating the Trinity Sunday offering “Growing Our Future Together” for this purpose allows us to begin cultivating a fund to ensure that we can meet this long-term initiative. We invite you to join the Vestry as we build for the future of clergy ministry in this parish. Here are a few of the details that surround this year’s campaign:
Let’s watch our spiritual garden grow into our vision for the future! Sincerely, Gary Dewel: Senior Warden Bill Ziebell: Junior Warden PS Please use the envelope provided in your quarterly packet that is designated as “Trinity Sunday” or one that is provided in the back of each pew for your donation. Thank you!
