Seasonal Programs

Education for Ministry (EFM)
EFM is a four-year theological education extension program of the School of Theology of the University of the South in Sewanee, TN. Participants study the Old and New Testaments, church history, and twentieth century theology. EFM provides the basics of a theological education in order to develop knowledge and confidence about the ministry we all share. Seminar groups of 6 to 11 adults meet weekly to reflect theologically, discuss the materials studied, and worship together. At Trinity, new terms begin in September and January, guided by mentors Ginny Taylor or Gail Wiley.

Newcomers Classes
All newcomers to Trinity Church (whether or not they are practicing Episcopalians) are encouraged to attend Inquirer's classes held periodically throughout the year. The objective is to learn, in an informal way, the life and character of the Episcopal Church and this local branch called Trinity. Participants will gain an understanding of the history of the church, become more familiar with The Book of Common Prayer, learn what opportunities for ministry exist at Trinity, hear the Episcopal Church's understanding of the Holy Scripture and the Role of the Sacraments, and meet new people. Adults desiring Confirmation or Reception into the Episcopal Church are also encouraged to attend Inquirer's Classes. For more information, please contact the parish office.

Dates for current Newcomers class offerings:
Sunday April 6, 13, 20 & 27 beginning at 1:30 pm. These sessions will run the four Sunday's in April and will cover general information about the Christian Faith, Episcopal Church, Trinity and other items of interest to the participants. Anyone interested in being received into the Episcopal Church would want to attend these classes to be prepared for the Deanery Confirmation on May 17th. Questions, please contact Canon Linda at the church office 630-665-1101.
