Our Mission

We recognize that in today's fast changing world, children need a strong sense of values, a sense of community, a sense of the sacredness of life.  Through the offerings of Trinity's programs for children and youth, we strive to help them come to know and experience the love of God in a community of caring committed people of faith so that they may be nurtured and grow in their relationship with God, enabled to respond to their world as Christians.

The mission of the Christian Education Program for Children and Youth is to equip the children of this parish with the knowledge of the Holy Trinity and to nurture their relationship with God and all others through the study of Scripture, tradition and the sacraments.

In order to support these children in their life in Christ, Trinity Episcopal Church will provide an open. inclusive, safe and respectful environment, appropriate educational tools, trained teachers and willing leaders to achieve this vision.  We will do this through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and other structured experiences to include all children and youth from Pre-Kindergarten through High School.

Our Program

At Trinity, Sunday School is available for children 3 1/2 years old through Grade 12.  The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is offered at two levels, 3-6 years old and 1st-2nd Grade.  Catechesis was introduced at Trinity in the early 90's.  The 3rd-4th Grade and the 5th-6th Grade use the Episcopal Children's curriculum.  The 7th-8th Grade class is lectionary-based and the high school class is discussion oriented, focusing on topics selected by the teacher and/or students.
