Thanks to a foundation that began with years of support from congregations like yours, DuPagePads is excited to announce that the Spring of 2022 will mark the opening of our new Interim Housing Center, a place where families and individuals can check in to a safe room of their own. A 130-room, repurposed hotel just off of I-88, on Butterfield Road, this property will bring warm beds and COVID-safe rooms for individuals and families suffering from homelessness.

As you have been a friend to our guests for so long, we hope that you will be part of this monumental step. In the next few months, we'll be developing opportunities for faith communities to sign up for Host Nights, where you can choose a night to provide a meal, assist with laundry and shelter operations, and bring breakfast items for those in our care. We'll have volunteer opportunities where you can continue to help our guests on their path to a safe home of their own: You can sign up to tutor, give out toiletries and warm clothing to those who need the resources, and assist with shelter operations. We can't wait to connect with all of you to share more as our plans progress!

To learn more about our work, or to be the first on our list when sign-up opens for Host Nights, please visit volunteer.dupagepads.org and add "Interim Housing Center" to your fan locations for volunteering; or drop me an email at This email address is being protected from spambots.
