Trinity’s April Outreach grant will be applied to the Working on Womanhood (WOW) program of Youth Guidance. Youth Guidance’s mission is to create and implement school-based programs that enable children to overcome obstacles, focus on their education, and ultimately, to succeed in school and in life. They have worked in partnership with Chicago Public School for over fifty years, to directly serve students within schools by providing them with a network of supports and resources. Youth Guidance currently serves children and families across Chicago through three program areas: Counseling and Prevention; Youth Workforce Development; and Community and After School Programs. Last fiscal year, Youth Guidance delivered programs to more than 11,000 youth and their families in 163 schools.
Youth Guidance is a partner agency of Episcopal Charities. For further information, please see their website: www.youth-guidance.org/working-on-womanhood
