14th Annual Concert to Benefit South Sudan
On April 27, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Glen Ellyn will offer its 14th Annual Concert to benefit the Renk Medical Clinic in Renk, South Sudan. Doors open at 6:30 pm for a reception and silent auction; the concert begins at 7:15 pm.
Antiracism Training Opportunities
The Antiracism Commission, in partnership with Chicago Regional Organizing for Antiracism (Chicago ROAR), offers subsidized training for members of the diocese. Upcoming two-and-a-half day sessions are scheduled for April 25-27, July 25-27 and October 17-19 in Chicago. Seniors Invited To Defer Property Taxes
Qualified senior citizens, aged 65 years and older are invited to apply for the Senior Citizen Real Estate Tax Deferral Program. The program allows participants to defer property tax payment until the property is sold. Ecumenical Support Services for the Elderly (ESSE) Needs Drivers
Personable and reliable drivers needed part-time to transport seniors to Adult Day Care Centers located in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wheaton and Faith Lutheran Church, Glen Ellyn. Centers are open Monday-Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm. Flexible Hours, $14 an hour with mileage reimbursement.
