Ice Cream Social

ice cream 3We are excited to announce that summer has arrived, and what better way to celebrate than with an ice cream social hosted by our wonderful members, Molly and Jon Huff! This delightful event is a perfect opportunity for families to come together, enjoy delicious treats, and foster connections within our Trinity Episcopal Church community.

Mark your calendars for June 28 from 5 to 7 PM at 216 West Illinois St, Wheaton. We kindly ask that you RSVP by June 22 to ensure we have enough ice cream for everyone to enjoy.

Parents, we warmly welcome you to join in on the fun, or if you prefer, take a little time for yourselves while your kids indulge in the sweet festivities. This is a wonderful chance to connect with other families and enjoy the joy of community.

May Open Houses

May is Historic Preservation Month

We have a wonderful opportunity to welcome the community into our chapel throughout the month of May. Each Friday and Saturday, we will host an open house event from 10:00am - 2:00pm, inviting people to view our chapel and read about our history.

We will also have hours on Sunday, May 4, 18, and 25 from noon - 3:00pm. As an added feature to our Sunday open houses, we will host the Sounds Good! choir on Sunday, May 4 at 4:00pm with a reception to follow.

Over the weekend of May 16-18, we will have an art show and sale featuring the art of the late John Legg, wood carver and printmaker. There will be a reception on Sunday, May 18 beginning at 3:00pm. These events are free and open to the public, so invite your friends and neighbors to stop by! If you would like to volunteer to be a greeter during our open houses, please contact Beth Petti.

NIFB 2025 Volunteer Dates

Join Trinity's NIFB Volunteer Team!

We will once again gather as a group to serve at the Geneva Northern IL Food Bank warehouse to sort and pack items for delivery to area food banks, soup kitchens, schools and other facilities providing food to those in need. Trinity has participated in this work for over 3 years and has experienced the joy of working together, building relationships while doing work that contributes to our community in a meaningful way.

WORK we do: Sort and pack food items that go out to area food banks, soup kitchens, and schools for families in need.

Relationships we build: Those who are available join at a local restaurant for lunch and then go to the Geneva warehouse for a 2.5 hour shift working together on an assigned project. It is a great way to get to know some of the other Trinity members as we work in a team.

Who volunteers: Everyone is welcome. If standing for 2.5 hours is a challenge, sitting jobs are available.

Ministry Leaders and Hosts: Ruth Anne Willcox, Judy Shwartz, Brenda Lotesta. If you want to know more please reach out to one of these people.

How to Sign up: Registration is required on the Church center App by clicking on the Date below

Dates:

  • Join the NIFB Team on Church Center to sign up for any of the next volunteer sessions: Tues., May 20th.

We hope you can join us! Brenda, Judy and Ruth Anne
