Welcome to Trinity Episcopal Church, Wheaton. Our community of faith, is made up of people of all ages.  Visitors worshiping at Trinity for the first time will receive a coffee mug as a welcome gift.  For families, we offer nursery services during the Sunday 10:00 am service and Sunday School services for children ages 6 through middle school.  Want to learn more about God?  Adult studies are offered each week.  Looking for fellowship?  A coffee social hour is held after each 10:00 am service and our ministries programs provide members with the benefits of fellowship through service.  Our social gatherings through Connect, weekend bike rides, and golf outings also provide many other ways to enjoy the Trinity Family.  Come visit Trinity and let the usher know that you are visiting.  We look forward to meeting you.
As we say farewell to Canon Linda, who announced her retirement in June 2013, Trinity will continue to report the progress of the transition to a new Rector.  Trinity is currently working with the Diocese of Chicago and the Trinity Vestry regarding the transition to a new Rector prior to Canon Linda's departure in August 2014.  The current plan is to have a new Rector in place by Spring 2015 and the Vestry will continue to actively inform Trinity members throughout the progress of the transition.  News about the transition can be found on our website and in the Trinity Newsletter, The Messenger.  To follow the transition process, please select Rector Transition under the About Us menu at the top of this website.

I am looking forward to being with you in the coming months as I serve as your Interim Rector here at Trinity Church.

By way of introduction, I am Liz Meade. I live in Geneva with my husband of 33 years, Gary. I was born and raised in the Boston, Massachusetts area, but married a west coast guy and moved to Seattle, where we raised our two (now adult) sons, Andy and Alex. We have moved to Chicagoland twice, in corporate transfers, so I am pretty much a flatlander these days. The other important “baby” in our lives is Wave, a black Portuguese Water Dog. You may meet her if you’re ever in the office on weekdays.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Over the past few weeks I have pondered what I would say in this my last missive as your Rector. How I wanted to wax eloquent and intelligent, spiritual and humble, joyful and reflective, and then I woke from the dream. Thank You is perhaps the best prayer that I can offer to God and to you for our 10+ years together in ministry. Thank You for our times of great joy, when laughter and silliness would erupt. Thank You for the hospitality of spirit in reaching out to the people around you – new folks, folks in need of prayer, food or monetary support; folks who had been members for many years; folks of all ages, infant to centenarian; folks who have plenty and folks who are in need. You have opened your doors and your hearts to welcome them all.
