Worship Notes: We give thanks for Emily Bergman who played her violin at our 10 am service on July 11th and for Steve and Jenny Koester who are playing for our 10 am service on July 18th. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

The flowers on the Chapel altar are given to the glory of God by Dave & Kathy Davy in loving memory of Kathy’s parents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Miller and by the Roque family in thanksgiving for Sarah’s 12th birthday.


MALLORY HOLDING-TRIP TO HAITI: Mallory Holding, St. Mark’s, Glen Ellyn member and daughter of the Rev. Suzi Holding will be preaching at Trinity on August 7th and 8th. A recent graduate from Miami University in Ohio with degrees in political science and international studies, Mallory was serving as a missionary through the Episcopal Church’s Young Adult Service Corps, in Port Au Prince, Haiti when the earthquake hit. Mallory returned to Illinois but has made subsequent trips to Haiti since the disaster. Please come to hear her story.


FAREWELL RECEPTION FOR SUE FLAATTEN: It is with great sadness that Trinity has accepted the resignation of Sue Flaatten as the Trinity organist. She has been a valued member of our music team and our church staff and we shall miss her. A farewell reception for Sue is being planned for August 15th following the 10am service. TRINITY YARD SALE: Mark your calendars! Come to the Trinity Yard and Rummage Sale on Saturday, August 28th from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Trinity parking lot. Clean out your attic, garage, basement or whatever and bring it on down to Trinity to hock your wares. We just kindly ask that you donate 20% of what you sell to the church. SERVICE OPPORTUNITY-FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN: August 2, 6:00pm-9:00 pm. Please join the confirmation class for a unique service opportunity. We will be visiting the Aurora site of Feed My Starving Children, located at 555 Exchange Court, in Aurora. We will be packaging meals that will be sent to feed children around the world. This event is open to all students entering 6th-12th grade. Adults are also invited to attend. We only have room for 20 people total so this will be on a first come basis. We will leave Trinity parking lot at 6:00 pm and return to Trinity at approximately 9:00 pm. AMERICAN GUILD OF ORGANIST BACH CONCERT: The Fox Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present the 11th Annual Bach and Beyond at the Abbey Concert on Friday, July 30th, 7:30 p.m. at the Marmion Abbey, 850 East Butterfield Road, Aurora. The concert is free and open to the public. An offering will be collected to benefit the AGO Young Organists Scholarship Fund. The Abbey is located just west of the intersection of Farnsworth and Butterfield Roads.

PEOPLE’S RESOURCE CENTER FOOD DRIVE: During the summer months we will collect: canned tuna, cereals, salad dressing and condiments such as: ketchup, mustard, etc. Please place donations in the boxes located throughout the building. Thanks for all your support throughout the entire year!


The church office phone system UPDATE. We are now able to receive phone calls in the office. Luckily, Tom Potter used his 20 years of experience with the phone company to bypass the damaged system. Only the phones in the church office have this capability until we install a new system. Thank you for your patience.

Ok team here’s where we’re at: We need a score of $54,000.00 and have rung up $28,470 so far. That leaves us with $25,530 runs to go. We have 2 innings/ weeks left to do this. That’s an average of $12,765 per inning/week. The home team is closing in on those Deficits!
